On This date in history, Pope John Paul II names 18 new cardinals. I didn't even know he was into football. Apparently, after careful reasearch, I have found that the Cardinals are the oldest team in football. The Pope hopped in the Popemobile and ordained that the Cards play for St. Louis, then migrated to and settled in Arizona, for now ---- you know all the important U.S.A Holy Lands.
